APRNEWS : Women Changing the Investment Climate in Côte d'Ivoire

APRNEWS - Women in Côte d'Ivoire are making impressive progress in the investment landscape, contributing to economic growth and empowering female entrepreneurs. By investing in and creating dedicated investment capital funds for women-owned businesses, they are transforming the investment climate and promoting a more inclusive economy.

APRNEWS - Noom Hotel, Abidjan - On a sunny Suturday , nearly 200 women gathered at the prestigious Noom Hotel in Abidjan for a groundbreaking event: the Women Investment Capital Event. This event, organized by Women Investment Capital (WIC), aimed to empower women entrepreneurs in Côte d'Ivoire by providing them with access to investment capital and valuable networking opportunities.

The event kicked off with a motivating keynote speech by Mrs. Manon COULIBALY, the president of WIC, emphasizing the significance of empowering women economically and ensuring their access to investment capital.

Throughout the event, participants had the chance to connect with accomplished businesswomen and gain valuable insights from their experiences. The panel discussions showcased notable female entrepreneurs who shared their perspectives on investment strategies, overcoming obstacles, leveraging networks, and the significance of financial education.

One of the standout moments of the event was the pitch session, where female entrepreneurs had the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of investors. The panel offered valuable feedback and chose one project for potential funding. The selected project will not only receive financial support but also benefit from coaching provided by BrandInput, a brand and marketing agency. This session was a testament to the remarkable talent and innovation within the women-led business community in Côte d'Ivoire.

In addition to the networking and pitch sessions, the event also included workshops on financial education, saving and work-life balance, and accessing capital. These workshops provided participants with the necessary knowledge to navigate the investment landscape and grow their businesses.

The Women Investment Capital Event's success demonstrates the increasing influence and power of women in the investment landscape in Côte d'Ivoire. By granting women entrepreneurs access to funding and assistance, WIC is stimulating economic growth, encouraging innovation, and establishing a more inclusive business environment.
